Adventures In Trend Crafts

Felting, I learned today, requires far more patience than I'd expected. I spent a long time playing with soap and water and a needle with little hooks while designing this kitschy and rather pointless little flower while watching a friend making much larger and more ambitious things. Knitting has its advantages: it doesn't make your skin shrivel as much as the soapy water does, and mistakes are more easily undone, and... I don't know, I don't think this will ever turn into a hobby. (Felting knit items might be interesting, however.)

Aah, kitschy and rather pointless little flowers. Those are often the end result of so many of our grand plans and schemes.

Very true!
Also, thank you for the very first comment this blog ever received.
