Felting, I learned today, requires far more patience than I'd expected. I spent a long time playing with soap and water and a needle with little hooks while designing this kitschy and rather pointless little flower while watching a friend making much larger and more ambitious things. Knitting has its advantages: it doesn't make your skin shrivel as much as the soapy water does, and mistakes are more easily undone, and... I don't know, I don't think this will ever turn into a hobby. (Felting knit items might be interesting, however.)

Aah, kitschy and rather pointless little flowers. Those are often the end result of so many of our grand plans and schemes.
